Signal Mountain, 2011

At the fifteenth annual Activating The Medium festival in 2011, I performed Signal Mountain live at SFMOMA with Jim Haynes. Using scientific glass, found objects, and an electric train, I created a kind of open-face diorama, a system of environments made to exploit the features of my own custom-modified surveillance cameras. These were also used in generating Haynes’ live-processed sound piece, which incorporated short-wave radio.
