I developed a class that explored experimental video through the absurdist spirit of DADA, as a tool for interpreting and subverting conventional modes of perception, by reordering standardized languages, and presenting them anew. OUT OF ORDER, our culminating exhibition, showcased our experimental processes and its products: Parameters, Disruption, and Interpretation. OUT OF ORDER’s motivation was to remind audiences of their habits of thinking, of their agency to reorder them, and to challenge their minds toward new visions.
