I developed a class that explored experimental video through the absurdist spirit of DADA, as a tool for interpreting and subverting conventional modes of perception, by reordering standardized languages, and presenting them anew. OUT OF ORDER, our culminating exhibition, showcased our experimental processes and its products: Parameters, Disruption, and Interpretation. OUT OF ORDER’s motivation was to remind audiences of their habits of thinking, of their agency to reorder them, and to challenge their minds toward new visions.

The Convergence / Divergence Symposium will be held online, and in California at the Los Medanos College. It will feature artists from around the world who have a work in the exhibition as well as scientists, activists, and students.
