I was again advanced to the finals this year for a SARF. In addition to collaborating with my nominator, Douglas Herman, Senior Geographer at the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of the American Indian, I plan to extend my research for The Beginning Was The End with theoretical cosmologist Daniel Eisenstein at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, and at The Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden.

As a resident artist at Bullseye Glass, I hope to partner with Adams + Chittenden scientific glass laboratory to produce new videosculpture models of time + multidimensional reality, to premiere in my solo show, July 2017 at Pro Arts Gallery.
100 Days Action, a counternarrative to Trump’s 100 Day Plan, is a call to thinkers, artists, and writers. Fired! will include two videos from my January Neurodivergent Media program at Shapeshifters Cinema. For my collaborators, Justin Enteman and Patrick McGee, these programs mark the first times their works have been shown in public.

Neurodivergent Media with Allison Leigh Holt will showcase polished results and ongoing experiments in media art by adults and teens who DIVERGE neurologically, like those on the autism spectrum. Holt will walk us through this heightened mode of perception, Empathic Pedagogy, and reveal how all of us are neurodivergent.

47th UND Writers Conference: The Art of Science

In two panels with theoretical physicist Brian Greene, and one with science fiction giant Kim Stanley Robinson, I discussed the nature of reality, cosmology, the multi-verse, neurology, consciousness, and the intersection of art + science at the UNDWC. Utah’s poet laureate Katherine Coles and ER physician and author Frank Huyler were also included. Video and full transcripts of these, and my talk on my work and practice, are on the UND Chester Fritz Library site. I also presented at the School of Art + Design.

The Glass System

My solo exhibition at the NDMOA opened during the 47th UND Writers Conference: The Art of Science and runs through the month of May. The Glass System is a body of work experiments with glass, video, neodymium magnets, plexiglass, and projected light, describing concepts about time and multi-dimensional reality that emerge from my research in Java and from theoretical physics.
